We attach great importance to Sustainability
Our success is not only based on the idea of growth. But also on sustainability. Our branches in Dortmund-Hörde, Holzwickede and Bergkamen already have high-performance photovoltaic systems on their roofs. This ensures that our operations are as low in CO2 emissions as possible. Further expansion is being planned.
However, we are also making massive efforts to save on consumables – as well as advancing digitalization so that we can continuously save more paper.
The current energy policy situation has also prompted us to implement an efficient energy-saving concept in all branches. This is the only way we can make our contribution to reducing costs and protecting the environment together with our employees.

Sports sponsorship - SC Berchum Garenfeld
The boys’ team B1 of SC Berchum Garenfeld is delighted with the new jerseys that we have sponsored together with Suzuki. We wish them every success and look forward to promoting the youth department and supporting young talent!
Sports sponsorship - HSG DJK Rauxel-Schwerin
In 2024, we entered into another handball partnership with HSG DJK Rauxel-Schwerin from Castrop-Rauxel. Here, great importance is attached to promoting young talent and, as part of this, the team clothing was also standardized this year. We are delighted to act as a partner here with our sponsorship and thus actively promote youth work in this club!
Sports sponsoring - TUSEM Essen
If you think of top-class handball, you can’t get past TUSEM Essen! We are therefore delighted to announce that the TUSEM Essen handball club will be sponsored by Motor Center Heinen with immediate effect. The handball club of the Turn- und Sportverein Essen-Margarethenhöhe e. V. has been German champion three times. TUSEM Essen is currently playing in the 2nd Handball Bundesliga 2022/23.

With the takeover of our 8th business in Menden, we are also delighted to have our first “Sauerland partnership” with a local club. VfL Menden Platte Heide was our first choice not only because of its local proximity to the company, but also because of its interesting history, the potential in its youth work and the national reputation of the annual “Hönnecup”.

Sports sponsorship - SV Brackel 06
Since 2021, we have been a proud partner of the soccer department of SV Brackel 06, one of the most traditional soccer clubs in the whole of Dortmund. With the 1st men’s team in the national league, 2 other senior teams and over 15 youth teams, the club offers all age groups access to soccer, which is supported by a great deal of personal commitment and experience.
Sports sponsorship - HSG Schwerte Westhofen
The founding meeting took place on June 5, 1988, making the HSG Schwerte/Westhofen one of the oldest clubs in the Westphalia Handball Association.
HSG currently has two men’s and two women’s teams registered, with the 1st men’s team eligible to compete in the Landesliga and the 1st women’s team in the Oberliga. The HSG can also look back on successful work in the youth sector. Successes in recent years include

Sports sponsorship - SV Berghofen
We have been a partner of SV Berghofen since 2019. What tipped the scales in favour of this cooperation was the excellent organization within the club and an interesting sponsorship concept. The main aspect of our sponsorship here is the youth work in the women’s teams. This is where talent for the first women’s team of tomorrow is found and promoted, which will compete in the 2nd Bundesliga in the following season (2020/21) thanks to the excellent finish to the 2019/2020 season.
We look forward to continuing on this path with the girls and ladies and are excited to see where it takes us.
Sports sponsorship - Holzwickeder SC
At first glance, Holzwickeder SC is a fairly young sports club. At second glance, you realize that the two clubs “Holzwickeder SV” and “SG Holzwickede” merged on 25.03.2015 and are therefore not only the club with the most members in the Unna area, but can also look back on over 100 years of club history and sporting expertise. Incidentally, the “stadium sausage” is also legendary here
Today, the well-known “Montanhydraulik Stadium” hosts senior soccer matches and regularly attracts up to 1,000 spectators. In the 2018/19 season, the first men’s team is playing in the highest amateur division, the Oberliga Westfalen.
Essener Elterninitiative für krebskranke Kinder e.V. (Essen Parents' Initiative for Children with Cancer)
We came across the “Essener Elterninitiative zur Unterstützung krebskranker Kinder e.V.” in 2015. This impressive organization was founded in 1983 by affected parents and has been kept alive as an association with donations ever since. It offers parents, siblings and other family members or friends of children with cancer who are being treated at Essen University Hospital an opportunity to stay close to each other. In the “parents’ house”, which is located 100 meters from the university hospital as the crow flies, there is plenty of space for those affected to stand by each other and give each other strength in 19 bedrooms with 50 beds, several common rooms, kitchens and a small garden.
We have been happy to support this since January 2016 in the form of our proceeds from the “Heinen breakfast” and a collection box in our Essen branch.
Dortmund Hospital
Our first contact with Dortmund Hospital was at the opening of our KIA operations in 2013, when we donated all the proceeds from food and drink sales at this event to the “Children’s MRI” project. The device simplifies examinations for children who urgently need such an examination, but who previously had to undergo the treatment itself under great stress. With the “Children’s MRI”, which is the only one of its kind in Dortmund in Europe, the stress of the examination is largely taken away from the children being treated by projecting fantasy worlds and extremely reduced background noise.
The next project – the Family House at Dortmund Children’s Hospital – enables families to stay together for the duration of their stay in hospital despite serious treatment. It is also a central contact point for victims of abuse, who can find protection and help here. Here, too, we are once again involved as a supporter.

Sports sponsoring - Wohnbau Moskitos Essen
As a partner of the Business Pool, we entered into a partnership with the renowned ice hockey club “Wohnbau Moskitos Essen” in September 2016 and are excited to see
how this traditional team develops in the coming years. The former German ice hockey champions from 1999 are currently playing in the top league and have great ambitions there.
